Rose is the luxury one.
It takes an enormous amount of petals to make a small amount of hydrosol, which is why rose is expensive everywhere and why most of what’s sold as rose water isn’t really rose water at all - it’s fragrance in a nice bottle. This is the actual thing, and it doesn’t smell like the perfume version. It’s softer, greener, a bit honeyed, with none of that sharp synthetic edge.
This is the one I use when I want to feel looked after. On my face after a shower. On my wrists and neck before I go somewhere. On the pillow when I’m having a bad week and want the bed to feel like a nicer place to be.
What it’s good for
• Face - gently hydrating and softening, with a fresh, dewy feel. Beautiful under moisturiser or on its own.
• A quiet moment - the scent alone does something. Spray it and stand still for a second. That’s the whole use.
• Linen and pillows - soft and slightly sweet, without the heaviness of a perfumed spray.
• On the body - on wrists, collarbones and the back of the neck, as a light natural scent that fades gently rather than sitting on you all day.
• A gift - the one people buy for someone else. It photographs beautifully and it feels like a treat.

Shake gently. Mist onto skin, linen or into the air. Avoid the eyes. Keep it somewhere cool and dark and use within six months of opening - there are no preservatives in it, which is why it smells like the actual flower.
